Hello hello!
Here's a bunch of our upcoming events for YAM. Take note and be excited because we got A LOT going on for the next couple months!

Sept. 18 - Young Adult Mass 10:00pm @ St. Catherine’s church
Sept 22 to Oct. 31 - 40 Days for Life: 40 days of fasting, prayer, community outreach, and 24-hour peaceful vigil outside Planned Parenthood: 990 Broadway, Vallejo. Kick-off Mass & rally: 2pm @ St. Basil’s. facebook.com/40DFLVallejo * 40daysforlife.com/beniciavallejo
Sept. 23 – Next SCSYAM Meeting 7-9pm @ 7th grade classroom. $35 for On Fire Nor Cal Jam due!
Sept. 30 - Theology onTap 6:30pm = fellowship; 7:00pm = talk begins @ Zio Fraedo’s (23 Harbor Way, Vallejo). “FREE WILL & GRACE: Using her own personal story, a former lesbian discusses the Church teachings on homosexuality, the psychology of homosexuality, the role of Courage in healing, and the irresistible force of God’s grace, love, and mercy.”
Oct. 2 – 1st Class of Young Adult Catechist Society (YACS) 10am-noon @ 7th grade classroom. Learn more about your faith with other young adults and how to effectively teach others about what Catholics believe. Upon completion of these classes (generally 2 or 3 a month), you may be eligible to apply for your Basic Catechist Certification. Last day to register is Oct. 9 (2nd class). Oct. 15 - Word Made Fresh Open mic
Oct. 16 - On Fire Nor Cal Jam 9am-8pm @ Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Vallejo. $35 due to JP by SEPT. 23. Featuring David Bisono; Mass with the bishops; unlimited rides at the park; concert with Matt Maher, Tenth Avenue North, & Addison Road. norcalcatholicyouth.com
Aug. 9-24, 2011 - World Youth Day: International gathering of youth and young adults with Pope Benedict XVI. Pilgrimage to Lourdes, Barcelona, Montserrat, Madrid, Toledo, & Sevilla. Option A = $4,229 (with 3-star hotels in Madrid). Option B = $3,669 (“simple accommodations” [e.g. sleeping on the floor of a classroom] while in Madrid but hotels in the other cities).
